Konnos Bay Custom Made Villas - ARCHITECTURAL PLANS

 Villa Elina

This design offers the perfect blend of traditional and contemporary architecture. The traditional roof, design of the upper floor with its large balcony, arrangement of columns and beams to be found by the front door over the ground floor patio and many other features result in an impressive design.

Yet the interior layout is even more remarkable. The aim was to provide comfortable accommodation satisfying the needs of the demanding house buyer while, at the same time, flexibility is maintained so that the layout can be changed according to the needs of the individual buyer. Spacious rooms, clever utilisation of space and plenty of storage are the main characteristics of this design.

On the first floor there is an impressive master bedroom with an en suite shower room. The master bedroom offers maximum storage as well as a dedicated alcove for a dressing table. There are also two smaller but still spacious bedrooms. All three bedrooms have direct access to a balcony. The main bathroom offers enough space for a storage unit and for two washing basins in addition to the toilet and large bath tub. Lastly, on the landing there is additional space for a shoe rack/linen cupboard and there is a hatch giving access to the loft which can also be used for storage.

The ground floor layout is based on an open plan philosophy. The dimensions, however, are such that it can easily be divided into smaller rooms so you can create a combination of additional bedrooms, a study, a dining room, a TV room and so on. The proposed layout features a large open plan main room which is used as a sitting room, dining room and TV room. There is also a spacious kitchen with a separate washing machine room utilising the, otherwise  wasted, space under the landing of the staircase. Lastly, the guests’ toilet is discreetly positioned opposite the staircase in the corner of the house.

Outside covered parking is provided together with a large raised front terrace perfect for the outdoor dining experience.

Villa Louiza

Although the internal layout of Villa Louiza is very similar to that of Villa Elina, the architect managed to give it a more traditional exterior with a Spanish touch.  A semi circle was added on the ground floor in the front of the house and the modern arrangement of beams and columns to be found by the front door in Villa Elina is replaced with a combination of an arched concrete frame and wooden beams. The aesthetic result is truly remarkable.

Internally the architect kept the same layout with the only exception being the addition of the semi circle in the front of the house. The open plan main room on the ground floor and the balcony on the first floor therefore become curved and larger.

All other comments regarding Villa Elina apply to this design as well.
